The winterized Pegasus Trail 5 provides wet-weather protection for trail running. A waterproof GORE-TEX upper, an all-terrain outsole and reflective details throughout help you comfortably take on the elements. With a ReactX foam midsole, it gives you responsive cushioning for an energized ride. This special design sends you to the South Kaibab Trail in the Grand Canyon, as part of our ongoing #IYKYK series.  

#IYKYK An inscription of one the trail’s gnarly switchbacks heading down to the Canyon is hand-drawn on the tongue top. The sockliners are detailed with some of the South Kaibab’s more memorable trail markers and the ever-present mules. Keep your eyes peeled for upper graphics that nod to the desert’s prickly plants. The pops of purple speak to the trail’s super-bright cacti. Waterproof GORE-TEX upper and 3-D print toe cap help keep water out so your feet stay dry.

 ReactX foam midsole gives you lightweight energy return. Nike Trail ATC outsole is made with an all-terrain compound that’s great even in wet weather. Sturdy, high ankle cuff helps keep debris and trail rubble from entering your shoe. What's new? All-new ReactX foam midsole is 13% more responsive than previous React technology. Crafted for performance and planet, ReactX foam is engineered to reduce its carbon footprint by at least 43% in a pair of midsoles due to reduced manufacturing process energy compared to prior React foam. The carbon footprint of ReactX is based on cradle-to-gate assessment reviewed by PRé Sustainability B.V and Intertek China. Other midsole components such as airbags, plates or other foam formulations were not considered.
